Huron Medical Center Foundation Announces Leslee Reed Nursing Book Scholarships
Bad Axe, MI (October 29, 2012)-Huron Medical Center Foundation recently established a book scholarship program for nursing students residing in Huron, Tuscola and Sanilac counties. The program, made possible through the donation of Doreen Reed Barcelow and Tamara Reed, was established in memory of their sister Leslee Reed.
Beginning this fall, the Huron Medical Center Foundation will award five book scholarships to applicants enrolled in fully accredited nursing education programs. The hospital will select recipients through a competitive process based on GPA and other measures of academic success and financial need, as outlined in the application.
