Huron Medical Center participated in the 14th Annual CA/N Council Roof Sit on Friday, February 5 at McDonald's Food & Family Center.  Money raised during the event was donated to the CA/N Council to help protect Huron County's children.

It started as a small request from soilders serving in Iraq.  With little to do during downtime, soliders turned to the driving range, a popular spot at Camp Victory.  As golf balls are hard to come by in Iraq, they asked for help.  HMC employees took part in this event by collecting nearly 500 golf balls to send to troops at Camp Victory.

Employees collected 4 huge boxes of hats, gloves, scarves and donated $167 to the Kitts for Mitts drive.  These items go to the Bad Axe, Ubly, North Huron and Port Hope Schools. 

Employees are preparing for fundraising in support of this event.  Relay for Life will be held June 26 and 27 at the Bad Axe City Park.

2009 Michigan Harvest Gathering

HMC employees donated 571 pounds of non-perishable food items to help feed the hungry in Huron County during the 2009 Michigan Harvest Gathering.

HMC employees collected 8 boxes of school supplies in support of the National Guard's "Stuff the Hummer" project.
