Sleep Studies PDF  | Print |  E-mail

The Cardiopulmonary Department schedules the sleep studies in the medical center.  Sleep studies may be ordered for diagnosing sleep apnea, improper sleep patterns, restless leg syndrome, and sleep walking problems.  A technician will place electrodes on the head and body to monitor the your level of sleep, heart rate, oxygen saturation, brain wave activity, body position, leg activity, and snoring level. This test takes a minimum of 6 hours to complete and is started at your normal hour of sleep.  Our two sleep labs are located on the third floor.
